Ms. Erin Miller

Welcome Back!

For our upcoming auction, the 3rd and 4th grade class will be putting together a game and snack basket to put in the auction. The students are being asked to bring something to donate for the basket if you are able to. This can be a favorite game and/or snack. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. As always, I appreciate your support!

We had a great time celebrating National Lutherans’ Schools Week last week. Students got to participate in so many fun activities and had a great time working with their “school” families.

This week, we will be doing some Fastbridge testing. Students will take one math and one reading test. Please be sure your child gets plenty of rest and a good breakfast! This test helps teachers measure student’s growth and areas that still need improvement.

This week for reading, third graders will be reading realistic fiction stories. We will also work on reading comprehension.

Our vocabulary words for the week are achievement, apologized, attention, audience, confidence, embarrassed, realized and talent.

Fourth graders will be reading historical fiction stories. Students will also be working on reading comprehension.

Their vocabulary words for the week are decade, directing, engineering, gleaming, squirmed, technology and tinkering.

Third Math- Students will begin working on division this week! Keep practicing those multiplication facts. It is so important that each student knows them!

Fourth Math-Students will be working with measurement this week. They will also practice writing quotients as mixed numbers and simplifying mixed measures.

Memory Work-Let him who has My word speak My word faithfully. (Jeremiah 23:28)
