5th & 6th Grades

Updated: 4 days ago

Mr. Chris Dehning

Greetings families! Well those 5-day weeks didn’t last long, but I think we’ll still be able to get a lot of learning in this week anyway. Be sure you check out the chatterbox, the extra note sent home, or the Trinity PTL Facebook page for information about National Lutheran Schools Week. Please let your child’s teacher know if you have any questions.

5 Math – This week the 5th graders are learning about adding mixed numbers, polygons, attributes of geometric solids, and they will take a test on Friday.

6 Math – 6th grade will be learning about adding integers on a number line, fractional parts of a number, percents of a number, classifying quadrilaterals, and taking a test.

Social Studies – We will be reviewing at the end of Ch. 8, and taking a test over what led to the American Revolution.

Science – We will be trying to answer the questions “How can you save a town from a hur-ricane?” We will be acting as different kinds of engineers and seeing if we can come up with a solution, and stay under budget.

3 Math – We will be learning about stories about equal groups, adding and subtracting decimal numbers, and taking a test.

4 Math – We will be learning about solving 2-step word problems, finding an average, or-ganizing and analyzing data, and taking a test.
