Mr. Chris Dehning

Happy week before the Christmas program! The kids are hard at work learning parts and songs for the program, so I hope you invite lots of people to come enjoy “His Name is Jesus” on December 14 at 6:30.

At the end of next week is our next field trip to the Children’s Theater in Wichita, so be on the lookout for the permission slip for that with more details.

Also, the 21st will be our class Christmas party, so be sure to contact your child’s teacher if you would like to help with that.

5 Math – This week the 5th graders will be learning about circumference and pi, subtracting mixed numbers, dividing by a decimal number and fractions, and taking a test on Friday.

6 Math – 6th grade will be learning about powers of 10, fraction-decimal-percents equivalents, adding mixed measures, unit multipliers, and taking a test on Friday. Science – This week we will be doing a case study and reviewing for our chapter test on sever weather and then taking our test.

Social Studies – We will finish our lesson on Sparta and Athens, and then move on to Greece and Persia.

7th /8th Math – This week we will be learning about scientific notation, the decimal part of a number, fractions and symbols of inclusion, percents, and taking a test.

Memory work: Ephesians 2:8-10 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

In His service,

Principal Dehning
