5th & 6th Grades

Mr. Chris Dehning

Hello Trinity families!

We are finally to our last full week of school. I know the kids are ready to be done, but I’ll see what I can get out of them this week.

They all did awesome with both performances of Star Quest. I’m very proud of them and all the hard work they put in. Make sure you find the recorded version of it to share with anyone who wasn’t able to come watch in person. I know it has been shared on Facebook, and I’ll look into if it will be added to the church website.

Fun Day is Friday. Please come volunteer or come play with your child with all of the fun games and activities we have planned. Also, there’s going to be lunch!

And get your permission slip and $5.25 in if you’re planning on going to the zoo next Monday, the 16th.

5 Math - This week we are going to be learning about geometric formulas, expanded notation, classifying triangles, and writing fraction and decimals as percents.

6 Math - 6th grade will be learning about percent of change, two-step equations and inequalities, and compound probability.

Science - We will probably just do a mini lesson this week about if killer whales are actually dangerous.

Social Studies - We are going to study the Civil War this week.

3 Math - 3rd graders are going to learn about different weights and mass, classifying triangles, symmetry, and division.

4 Math - We will be learning about converting units of mass and weight, exponents and powers, finding equivalent fractions by multiplying by 1, and prime and composite numbers.

Memory work: Psalm 119:11 - I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

Hebrews 13:5 ESV Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

In His service,

Principal Dehning
